320m³
Strip foundations for eight homes
Crosby, L23
Dug out, concrete poured to the engineer's drawing and blockwork brought up to DPC, ready for the bricklayers.
Commercial groundworks
Site clearance, foundations, concrete slabs, drainage and road works for main contractors, developers and builders across the North West. Family run from our Southport yard since 2012, with our own operators on machines from 1 to 25 tonnes.

Take the whole groundworks package or just the part you need. Each of these has its own page.
Vegetation, old slabs, hardstandings and spoil cleared, and the site stripped back ready for setting out.
Work on the public road for a new development, such as a new site entrance, done under an agreement with the council.
Reinforced slabs, bases, floors and foundations. Concrete-only jobs too, if the rest of the site is already done.
Foul and surface water drains, sewer connections, soakaways, CCTV surveys and grease traps for commercial kitchens.
Need a machine and a driver, not a whole package? Excavators from 1 to 25 tonnes and telehandlers, with a CPCS or NPORS ticketed operator.
Everything below ground and up to slab level, so the builders can start on a clean, level, drained site.
Clearance, topsoil strip, setting out and getting the ground down to formation level (the firm, level ground the build sits on), ready for foundations or a slab.
Bulk digging, cut and fill to change the levels across a site, and trenches for foundations, drains and services. Spoil taken away by us as a registered waste carrier.
Strip and trench fill foundations dug and poured to the engineer's drawing, with blockwork brought up to DPC (the damp proof course, the line where the bricklayers take over).
Ground bearing slabs for industrial units, warehouses and yards, with steel reinforcement to the design.
Kerb lines, car parks, hardstandings and paths, finished in tarmac, block paving or concrete.
Underground tanks or crates that hold back storm water after heavy rain and let it out slowly, so the drains and sewers do not flood.
Piles where the ground is too soft for ordinary foundations, and underpinning to strengthen the foundations of an existing building.
Foul and surface water drainage laid, tested and connected, so the whole of the below ground package sits with one firm.

1,200 m³ of cut and fill, the ground stabilised through soft mudstone, then a power floated concrete slab.
Main contractors need to know a sub-contractor is covered and qualified before they let them on site. Ask and we send it over with the quote:
A late groundworker holds up every trade behind them. We aim to be on site as soon as we can, and we agree the start date with you so it fits your programme.
We work up to 30 miles from our Southport yard, and further for larger jobs, including Liverpool, Wigan, Warrington, Preston and Manchester.
Drawings, a bill of quantities (the list of every item to be priced) or just a description and a postcode. Email, WhatsApp or the phone all work.
Priced from your drawings, with a site visit first if the job needs one.
RAMS, insurance certificate, waste carrier registration and CSCS and operator cards sent over. We agree a start date with your site manager.
Crew and machines on site on the agreed date, working to your programme.
Work finished to the drawing and handed back to your site manager for the next trade.
Yes. Most of our commercial work is for main contractors, developers and builders, either the whole groundworks package or one part of it, such as the drainage or a slab.
As soon as we can. We agree the start date with you and plan the work around your programme (the timetable for the whole build).
Yes. RAMS means risk assessment and method statement: the document that says how the job will be done safely. We supply it for the job before we start.
Public liability insurance of £10 million. We send the certificate with the quote, or whenever you ask for it.
Yes. We are NRSWA accredited, the qualification needed to dig up and reinstate a public road or pavement. That covers section 278 works, road connections and dropped kerbs.
Yes, on our own jobs. We are an Environment Agency upper-tier waste carrier, so we can legally take away the spoil and waste from the work we do.
Yes. Our staff hold CSCS cards, the card most UK building sites ask for before they let you on. Every machine comes with a CPCS or NPORS ticketed operator. We can send copies of the cards before we start.
Yes, all three, plus underpinning. They can be part of a full groundworks package or priced on their own.
Up to 30 miles from our Southport yard, and further for larger jobs. That covers Liverpool, Wigan, Warrington, Preston and Manchester.
Yes. Extension footings, garden room and garage bases, a single concrete slab or a run of drains. No job has to be a big one.
Phone lines open Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, Saturday 8am to 1pm. WhatsApp photos of the job any time, we reply in office hours.
